WQ Quality Score™
A score for a product batch, built only from attributes that can be checked against a document. Every decimal traces back to a certificate of analysis or a structured ingredient field — if a figure cannot be traced to one of those, it does not enter the score.
The method below is published in full, on purpose. A formula a competitor could adopt is what turns a house score into an industry measure.
The WQ Quality Score measures product quality and transparency — not health effects.
No product in the range carries a score yet. Every product reads pending, because no certificate has completed approval. We are publishing the method before the results so that the method cannot be written around the results.
What the score is made of
These are the weights in force, not a design target.
Batch certificate results: identity confirmation, heavy metals, microbial limits, residual solvents, adulterants.
What is disclosed per serving, supplier and origin disclosure, and whether a batch-level certificate is available at all.
Ingredient-level research volume against published reference sources. It rates how well studied an ingredient is — never whether it will work for you.
The per-serving amount against published studied ranges. This is the dimension that catches an ingredient present in name only.
Marker-compound potency for standardized extracts.
Computed and stored, but carrying no weight. A marker assay is not meaningful for compounds and blends, which are the largest part of the range, and the reference data is not complete. Rather than score a dimension on partial data we hold it at zero and split its 10% into Purity and Transparency. When it activates, the version increments and past scores are not silently restated.
Rules we hold ourselves to
No approved certificate means no score at all, not a bad one. Missing paperwork means purity is unknown, which is a different statement from purity is poor. Dimensions that cannot be computed are left out of the weighted average rather than counted as zero.
Badges stop at 7.0, but the number does not. A scoring system that only surfaces its good results is a marketing device, not a measurement.
Which product you are shown can depend on what you told the Clarity Engine. What that product scores cannot. The two systems are kept apart and their numbers are never blended into one.
WQ calculates this score on its own products. That is a plain conflict of interest, and the honest response is not to hide the method but to publish it and attach the evidence to every figure.
The laboratories are third-party. The score is not. We will not describe it as independent, certified or audited.
